Who is Dr. Kim?
I am someone whose life changed when I discovered HOW we do something affects every nuance of our everyday living. Growing up, I remember not enjoying family vacations; my loved ones and I suffered from poor sleep. Little did I know then, that poor sleep has so many downstream effects on our health.
I had the gift of an experience when a professor of mine gave a lecture in dental school regarding dental sleep medicine. Traditional curriculum did not emphasize this aspect of dentistry, but once I learned how I could help people with sleep related breathing disorders, I knew my calling in life was to help others. Helping others reach their health goals and increasing their quality of life was extremely gratifying.
I enjoyed this scope of practice so much I pursued advanced education and training to become the best provider in this subspecialty. I proudly hold the title of both Qualified Dentist with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and Diplomate status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Life is meant to be enjoyed; I am incredibly blessed to have found that happy people are also health-oriented. Finding a solution that works for each patient gives me immense joy and keeps my grateful for the privilege I have for caring for others.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with family, spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, and cooking food.
